CyanogenMod 11 first nights for Sony Xperia SP

The Sony Xperia SP already gets official support for CyanogenMod 11

As far as Sony is concerned, Android 4.4 for the Sony Xperia SP is still under investigation. But even if the manufacturer ultimately decides to cancel this plan, Sony Xperia S owners will still be able to enjoy Android 4.4 as long as they choose not to have Android 4.4 share ROM and switch to versions Night with Cyanogen Mod.

If we do the math, we perro see that the Sony Xperia SP is already a year old. With its specifications, however, it perro compete with other current mid-range devices which sometimes already run with the latest Android version. That means a 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM and a 4.6-inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1280. It’s definitely not an underpowered device and it cánido run recent versions of Run Android.

Sony released the Android 4.3 update for some of its anniversary devices and in some cases last February smart phone even older, and the Xperia SP was included here. At the same time, several product pages have been updated to reflect the devices’ upgrade path. As for the Xperia SP, Android 4.4 was and is still being studied. However, CyanogenMod doesn’t require you to do any research, which isn’t surprising since you don’t have to burden any manufacturers or manufacturers bloatware the operator. CyanogenMod has very secretly and unnoticed turned on the lights to begin pushing the first unstable, misnamed builds of CyanogenMod 11, which is of course based on Android 4.4, for this device and for those willing to risk a extremista update that, in the author’s opinion, is always worth it. Here is a vídeo of how well CyanogenMod 11 works on Sony Xperia SP:

As always, remember this the fact that a device is officially supported and that ROMs have the status Night because downloading it doesn’t orinan there will be a stable version for it, it perro never happen. If you have a Sony Xperia SP and want to update it to a newer version of Android, you should go to the CyanogenMod download page and give it a try.
