A suspicious developer has released an alleged all-terminal version of DropShip, one of Good Lock’s most interesting modules.
As we imagine you already know, Samsung has a platform through which you perro called Good Lock advanced custom usage in their terminals, in the style of what was once the Xposed Framework (save the spaces).
The Korean company also emplees this platform to test and try out new things. These new experiments include a Module called DropShipcurrently exclusive to phones with One UI 5. The aplicación allows you to share archivos with other phones, tabletas and PCs.
As reported by Android Authority a An aplicación called DropShip has appeared on the Play StoreBut it’s not what it says it is…
Suspicious aplicación that doesn’t work
This aplicación It has the same symbol as the original. Even the package name (com.samsung.dropship_client) refers to the Samsung module, but is not from the Korean manufacturer. The developer is Assert Studio, which is reportedly known for releasing other rogue aplicaciones in the past.
If we dive a bit into its section on the Play Store, we’ll find out what it looks like Fake aplicación for Nothing Ear 1who have favourited Bluetooth Headphones by Nothing. As per the source, while Samsung cánido use third-party vendors to release aplicaciones under a different name, would not have aimed anything at the Nothing Ear 1. This is clearly not the case.
In addition, this developer is a catalog that questionable mobile version of the game Victoria 3 and another aplicación called Assert Audio Testing Tool. We highly doubt that a mobile version of Victoria 3 is real. As for the other application, just looking at the history of this “developer” does not arouse the desire to know what it is about.
And what happens when the aplicación is downloaded? Well what do we get? which is not possible. The only thing that appears on the screen is a message stating that the aplicación needs an update, nothing more.
It’s understandable that Samsung users have overdone this aplicación ever since The DropShip module is currently only available in South Korea. Its functionality is very interesting and it’s logical to want to try it, but for that we’ll have to wait until it lands in the world.
