Apple, the company founded by Steve Jobs, is one of the most important technology companies in the world. Not only because it has some of the most habitual products of the moment such as iPhone, iPad or laptops, but because it has been one of the companies that has changed the technology market the most throughout history. thanks to its innovative and avant-garde ideas.
Not only did Apple manage to call itself a móvil with its iPhone—later followed by Google plus with its Android operating system—but it also had a love-hate relationship with Microsoft and its computers. Macs were the main competitors of Windows devices and although they still are today, we must not forget the other protagonist, the iPad. A computer that, according to Apple, is not a computer but has been turned on its head, not only in the consumer computing market, but also at the core of the world’s largest tech companies. ‘Ocasione in fact Bill Gates’ company was badly affected by the iPad until it was seen as the biggest threat to beat.

How a product like the iPad impacted one of the most powerful companies in the world
1/The announcement of the “magic” iPad 10 years ago today was a milestone in the computing world. It was billed as the “first” computer. For me, just a few weeks after the launch of Microsoft’s “latest creation,” Windows 7, managing Windows was a challenge as magical as it was magical. pic.twitter.com/wokHfyM5Qk

If you don’t know who Steven Sinofsky is, tell you that he was President of Microsoft’s Windows division from July 2009 to November 2012. Though he might be remembered for creating one of the worst operating systems in history: windows 8 free,. After such a great OS as Windows 7, the guys at Microsoft gave us a new version of Windows that claimed to be a combination of a desktop OS with elements of a touch OS. Which was left in no man’s land and many consumers failed to update and waited for Windows 7. The culprit that such a horrible invention came to light? the iPad.
As we read in MSPoweruserGood old Steven posted a bunch of publicaciones de Twitter reviewing this a while back How the iPad influenced your Microsoft days and how this device prompted the Redmond company to take action on the matter and implement certain projects and ideas that did not come to light. Publicaciones de Twitter, which, by the way, are easy to remember because of new iPad Pro presented by the Cupertino company.
Do they really intend to sell this product as productive?
From Microsoft they knew that Apple would present a tablet, but they envisioned not something like the iPad, but a product like the Mac, but with a pencil and a touch. It was logical that the Mac had a large usuario base, so it would be easy to adapt a platform like the MacBook and its operating system to include touch controls. But no, Apple decided to go one step further and based on the iPhone presented the iPad, without a pen, without a stylus, without a mouse, without a keyboard… How was Steve Jobs supposed to sell such a product as productive? they wondered at Microsoft.
9/ There was no stylus…no pen. How could one contribute or be PRODUCTIVE? PC brains were so tied to their choice of keyboard, mouse, and pen that imagining being productive without them seemed imaginative. Also instant standby, no viruses, rotatable, lasting quality…

Windows 8: Knocked to the canvas by the Champion Fighter in just a few turns
Of course, and as we all know by heart, the iPad was a huge success. A product with a battery life longer than any notebook that we cánido take anywhere, with thousands of applications to install and a performance that, unlike computers, has not deteriorated over time. That said The iPad achieved huge sales in a short period of time and was a real threat to computers at the time and so for the Redmond company.
18/In the first year 2010-2011, Apple sold 20 million iPads. The same year would be a historic peak for PCs (365M, ~180M laptops). Analysts had predicted more than 500 million computers would quickly increase tablet forecasts to hundreds of millions while PCs declined.

And of course threats are averted or at least attempted. Did people want a touch OS or what will it look like? Well, Microsoft gave them Windows 8. But Windows users are not the same as Apple fanes and Microsoft’s operating system failed and good Steven left Microsoft. You must see that Windows 10 has returned to the essence of Windows 7 and there is little or nothing left of this operating system that no one wants to remember.
If you’ve gotten this far, you care | I tried to use Android as my main phone but Apple didn’t let me
To this day, the iPad is unstoppable. Not only is it the most habitual tablet in the world, it’s its success it jeopardizes Apple’s own MacBooks. The company with the bitten apple is currently selling iPads like they’re computers, they’re more, they’ve just announced they’ll support mice, and the company’s new — not cheap — keyboard is the perfect accessory for anyone looking . Productivity and mobility without sacrificing performance.
What is the ceiling of the iPad? Only Apple knows that.
