From work aplicaciones to popular media aplicaciones. This is how I adapt my cell phone to my needs.
When it comes to getting the most out of my Xiaomi with MIUI, whenever I configure a factory phone install the same aplicaciones and performs the same configuration. It is very important for me to have the necessary applications to be able to cope with my everyday life.
From popular aplicaciones like Twitter or Telegram to mobile banking aplicaciones through the Google plus range. I’ll teach you Aplicaciones I use on my Xiaomi phone with MIUI and an advice to optimize the start screen.
Optimize the home screen.
For the home screen, I always use the default MIUI launcher. At the moment it is the only one that allows me to touch with gestures, since others do not support this function in MIUI, which frustrates me when we want another launcher in the system.
Configuration of the MIUI launcher
Once we are in the home screen of the launcher, by holding down in an area without icons we access the settings in the lower right. As I espectáculo in the following photo, I have a 5×6 grid. - Gesture navigation always active. Very useful in our Xiaomi mobile.

- I keep Google plus Discover turned on so I perro see the daily news feed.

What aplicaciones and widgets do I have on my home screen?
If we go to the application area, I make sure to have a theme on my home screen minimalistwant Do not overload the screen with many applications. To do this, I divided my desktop into two parts.
At the top I place the weather widget where I cánido always see some cities that interest me. This widget is very useful to always have the forecast in case you need to take the umbrella with you before going out in winter.

Leave free space below. Organize aplicaciones by usage and gather a few to keep on hand. As we perro see in the previous images, in the upper part I usually have applications that I use maybe once or twice a day or sporadically, for example the calendar, shopping applications (Carrefour in my case), Google plus Fit for going out. Exercises and see my past route and time and the Alexa application to manage my smart devices.
Going down the lines we find I use aplicaciones a little less. The gallery is essential for me, with the MIUI Camera aplicación, the Aplicación Store and the MIUI Security aplicación. In a separate folder I have the entire Google plus series.

Always the Google plus Phone icon next to Google chrome to be able to call it. It is necessary for me to have it in this order. I keep Google plus Chat as the main focus as this is the communication application that works by default. In other companies I have Slack or Teams. Finally, on the far right (for accessibility) is the Applications I use most throughout the day. In this case, WhatsApp to talk to family and YouTube to watch daily vídeos.
What applications do I have installed on my system?
We talked about what I have in the beginning, but I didn’t comment on what I have for each task. I won’t lie to you, in that sense I’m a usuario who doesn’t usually go out of bounds much. My applications are typically used by most people as they have given me the best results:
Aplicaciones I use for work
When I think about work, I have a few default aplicaciones to help me manage my day-to-day life. They are as follows:
Google plus calendar. Calendar is the default aplicación for viewing meetings. This application syncs all my important accounts so I perro see my meetings at work and outside of work, as well as events like birthdays of my family and friends or national holidays.
advice: I usually use the agenda view, which is the most convenient, and then scroll through the month view to see how busy I am on the days of the week.
gmail. I always use Gmail to read dirección de correo electrónico. The truth is that I am very satisfied with the Google plus application for everything related to correo electrónico.
asana. Asana is the default to-do list aplicación. We at Andro4all use it to coordinate with each other. You cánido use it to create your own task program. There is a kind of Trello, vitaminized.
Teams and Google plus Chat. I use both aplicaciones to talk to co-workers and coordinate the week’s work.
advice: It is better to separate your work life from your personal life. In my case, I keep the applications because they don’t bother me in my free time, but you have to be careful with that.
Aplicaciones I use for shopping and banking
All have our banking applications by default, but in my case I use the following applications to manage my purchases:
MIUI Aprecies. The MIUI Aprecies aplicación is very important to me. When I need to make a shopping list, I use this application to write down each product I’m going to buy. I get confused sometimes which helps me to buy everything I need.
MIUI calculator. Another estándar application from Xiaomi. I use it to do my bills when I go shopping or to calculate monthly expenses. It is very useful to be up to date on other aplicaciones, as we have already seen in other tricks in its time.
wallet. Yes, I use physical money for almost nothing. I always pay with NFC since I got my phone. Not just for cards, but for all passports In general, I use Wallet as my card management application. Necessary for me.
applications in the supermarket. From today’s point of view, it is better to have supermarket applications at hand, be able to find out about offers and have offers because of their advantages. In my case, because of the proximity, I now have the Carrefour one. I used to use Lidl.
Amazon and AliExpress. For en línea shopping, I usually have Amazon and AliExpress installed. Both applications are very useful for looking up products that I might need in my daily life.
Applications I use every day
As far as my everyday life is concerned, everything is a little different. Although I have several applications installed, I use very few on a daily basis. I’ll tell you which.
Google plus Google chrome and find out what’s new. Google plus Google chrome and Google plus Discover are my favorite aplicaciones to find out what’s going on daily. I usually reload Google plus Discover several times a day because there are very interesting news that I like to read. In the case of Google chrome, I usually go straight to your favorite media.
advice. We must try not to open many tabs in Google chrome so as not to overload the system.
Twitter and YouTube to separate. When it comes to popular networks, I tend to always use the same applications. Twitter is my go-to way to find out what people are saying and I use YouTube short largometrajes for entertainment. I don’t use Instagram or TikTok. You haven’t convinced me.
In the case of YouTube, I typically watch a variety of content throughout the day, from live recap streams to habitual science vídeos to interesting technology vídeos.
WhatsApp and Telegram for chatting. I use WhatsApp and Telegram to talk. Currently, my family and friends mostly use WhatsApp, so I give it more priority than Telegram.
Amazon Music and YouTube Music. These are my two default music listening aplicaciones. I already said back then why I prefer Amazon Music to other music applications.
Mainly these are the applications that I usually use in my everyday life. As we cánido see, they are few, but I usually use them when I need them. While it’s true that I use WhatsApp, YouTube and Amazon Music the most, I use the rest a lot, like vídeo games, Wild Rift or Genshin Impact. But I usually have most of my core aplicaciones in the launcher’s home grid.
It is important that you feel good with the applications you use and feel that they cover your daily needs. Although I’m a more organized person, you cánido choose the home screen that best suits you and your needs.
