Google plus has redesigned one of its messaging features to bring its usuario experience closer to that of the world’s most used messaging aplicación.
Google plus Messages is the equivalent of iMessage on Android, rough. Google plus puts a lot of effort into this aplicación to try to turn it into a de hecho communication tool, like text message replies recently did. There’s no doubt that the Big G is still hard at work on the RCS protocol, even if Apple doesn’t want to hear about it.
If the reactions to the aforementioned messages weren’t enough indications that Messages is attempting to approach WhatsApp, as we knew thanks to 9to5Google plus now there is a new function which brings the usability of the Google plus aplicación closer to Misión. It seems that the design criteria have finally been agreed upon.
A new way of understanding photo selection
The new news photo picker has ditched the horizontal scroll bar it previously had took the vertical scroll, much more intuitive for users. The interfaz expands when we slide our finger up, which is already common in other messaging aplicaciones. was also awarded quick access to the camera in this area.
And yet, while it might appear on paper that the design criteria between aplicaciones are united with this new photo selection, the truth is that Google plus take a personal approach the same. There is a system-wide photo selection, but that’s it it hasn’t been revised since Android 4.4 KitKat and that it looks like Google plus has retired its messaging aplicación.
As reported, this photo selection appears to be new as part of an exam which reaches a limited number of users. So far I haven’t seen the feature on my phone, so I guess I’m not one of the chosen ones.
From what we see in the images attached to this article, the interfaz shines It is complete and does not genere major problems. It is easy to imagine that this feature could reach the general public in a few weeks or months, so we will closely monitor the next updates of the aplicación.
