When we look back we will remember a quite an interesting – and strange – story about the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. One of the inclusions included by Samsung in its Note range was the S-Pen, a “smart” pen that allows us to interact with the phone and perform specific tasks such as B. writing aprecies by hand or taking screenshots. However, we found that the Note 5’s S Pen would get stuck if we inserted it upside down. Does the same thing happen on the Note7? let’s find out
On the Note 5, if you inserted the S Pen upside down, the pen would get stuck, and it could not be removed without damaging the sensors in the terminal. Samsung recognized the fallo and after four months changed its terminals to solve the problem, but of course without knowing which ones were safe or not. better not try it directly.
It was one a small tab held by the Note 5’s S Pen When we put it in and since it was unidirectional the tab wouldn’t come out if we put the stylus in the wrong way around when we tried to remove it and it broke it or opened the phone and fixed it. Then they added a source that released it Which would have been wiser from the start.
The waterproof Samsung Galaxy Note7 has a dedicated compartment for the S Pen, separate from the rest of the terminal components. In the new Samsung terminal the S Pen only fits in one direction. When we try to turn it upside down, it doesn’t fit right. As a matter of fact, The hole through which the S Pen is inserted is narrowedso we couldn’t put it in even if we wanted to.
For more safety, if we insert the S Pen upside down, the pen itself is a a spring on the back that would send it back automatically, making it literally impossible to fit the S Pen upside down in the Samsung Galaxy Note7. That’s good news, because it comes from a movie where a phone worth almost a thousand euros breaks if you insert a pen the wrong way round. Well done Samsung. If you are thinking of buying a Note7, Don’t worry, if you’re not too stupid, you’re safe.
