Fb wants to stop being… Fb. That seems to be what the Mark Zuckerberg-led company has in mind make an official name change announced next week, during the the annual Fb Connect event which begins on October 28th.
After count the corrthe company plans to change its name to a a new focus aiming at building a “metaverse”, moving away from the “popular” approach with which the name Fb is usually associated.

Until now, the popular network Fb is the company’s star product and the one that has given its name to a company that has been offering a large number of different products for years Hardware, virtual reality, popular networks and messaging aplicaciones.
After this name change The popular network Fb would be another product in this extensive portfolio, and the parent company would start with a different name, which is not known to this day. Something like what happened when An alphabet was created as the parent company of Google plus and the rest of its related services.
The new name is intended to reflect the changed direction of the company, which has focused entirely on the company in recent months. metaversea concept that Mark Zuckerberg himself believes will “be a big part of the next chapter on how the internet is changing after mobile”.
Fb announced this earlier today plans to hire up to 10,000 people in Europe alone to focus on the development of the metaverse and, as of last year, a a team fully dedicated to this project.
