The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ will be the first mid-range terminal from the Chinese company to feature a 200-megapixel main sensor.
200 megapixel camera debuted on the Android phone market in the hands of Motorola, including them in the X30 Pro and Edge 30 Ultra and recently Xiaomi did the same thing equip this sensor with the Xiaomi 12T Pro.
But the Chinese giant will go one step further as it chooses the first manufacturer to incorporate this photographic sensor in a mid-range terminal.

The cameras of the Redmi reach 200 MP
Redmi just announced vía his official account on the Chinese popular network Weibowith which the new Redmi Note 12 Pro+, which will be presented to society in a few days, will be equipped a 200-megapixel main sensor, specifically the Samsung ISOCELL HPX which was was announced a few days ago.
This camera is Sensor size 1/1.4 inch and pixel size of 0.56 micron. For reference, this is the pixel size 12% less than the Samsung HP1 sensor found in both Motorola’s high-end mobile phones and Xiaomi’s latest flagship.
Regarding the capabilities of this sensor, you should know that it perro group four pixels into one to genera images comparable to those of 50 megapixel camera with a pixel size of 1.12 microns and grouping 16 pixels into one to get photos that resemble those of a sensor 12.5 megapixels with a pixel size of 2.24 microns.
In this sense, the Chinese company has already confirmed that the camera of the Redmi Note 12 Pro + three recording modes: 200 MP, 50 MP and 12.5 MP.
This paves the way for other móvil brands to promote Place sensors of this type in their mid-range ports in the near future which is great news as you will be able to have it a cell phone with a high-end camera without having to pay 1,000 euros for it.
